Check to ensure your link has an unambiguous name that describes the destination, function, and/or purpose OR that this is determinable within context.
To check the hyperlink text do the following:
- Select the text of the hyperlink you wish to check, and then right-click.
- Select Hyperlink. The text that appears in the box is the Text that a screen reader will read.
- If necessary, change the hyperlink text.
- Optional: Select the ScreenTip button and, in the ScreenTip text box, type a ScreenTip.
TIP: If the title on the hyperlink’s destination page gives an accurate summary of what’s on the page, use it for the hyperlink text.
