- Select some or all the text in the heading you wish to check.
- On the Format Text tab, in the Styles group, the heading level you are using should be selected.
If the style of the text you selected says “Normal”, it means that the heading was created only by making the print larger and possibly using bold to visually make it a heading. In this case, screen readers will not be able to identify it as a heading.
To turn your text into an accessible heading, select one of the heading level options.
